I had a very nice surprise yesterday when I opened our mailbox. Inside was the latest print issue of Monadnock Livingmagazine (Fall-Winter 2013-2014). I knew it was due out soon, but wasn't sure exactly when, and was looking forward to it, because it has an article on our farm in it.
Last spring Marc Spinale from Grid Be Gone contacted me to ask if I'd be interested in having an article in the magazine about the wood gasification boiler and heating system that his company installed for us. After agreeing, he put me in touch with Cynthia West, co-founder and editor of the magazine. When she checked out our blog, she thought my post on Rocks and Stones would go well in the fall issue, since they were already running an article on a local stonemason. She did some appropriate editing to clean up my writing and make it fit better, and the final result is now on the newsstands.
This is the first issue I've seen, and I'm impressed with it. The articles cover a nice cross-section of our region, are laid out nicely with beautiful photographs, and the magazine itself is printed on high quality, heavy, glossy pages. It would make a nice addition on anyone's coffee table. Pick up a copy and enjoy! Steve
