Late Winter at Sullivan Center for Sustainable Agriculture

We are now deep into the month of February on Angel Wing Farm.  Winter has been quite cold and especially windy up on the hill.  We have kept the WoodMaster wood boiler going almost non-stop, in order to keep the citrus and avocado trees at an optimal temperature in our large, 17x77, lean-to greenhouse. Even in the dead of winter, there have been plenty of projects to keep us busy.  We are currently involved in  planting seeds in the heated greenhouse for the 2013 vegetable garden.  We are sending out applications for this years' farm interns, interviewing interns, and preparing a booth to display at New England Antioch University's 2013 Internship Fair in March.   We are creating our Sullivan CSA brochure for this year.   Just for fun we are planning out some of the spring/summer season building projects that we'd like to accomplish.  ---Carol
